Konstanz to Worms

Image
Not much to write but pictures abound! Got smart. Emailed Altes Ruderhaus for late checkin and got a response quickly with directions on how to claim the key and get into our room. After a horrible night’s sleep in Gasthaus Centro, w e check out, pay our tab and head for the parking garage to hit the road.    OMG! From 10pm to 10am, the cost was 20 euro to park!!!   Off  to Worms with stops on the way since this will be a long four hour drive.    First stop, Triberg waterfall which is advertised as the highest waterfall in Germany at 500’.    Definitely impressive and fun to photograph. Went next to the Gutach Open Air Museum where 13 generations of one family lived and worked. The  land that was held by and handed down thirteen generations to their children to keep working the farm as it had been the generation before. I can't imagine such a devotion on the part of each of the subse...

The breakfast buffet was similar to all others but still delicious.   Now to checkout and get on the road. Luckily, with these stops we don’t carry in anything but our day packs/purses and a backpack so maneuvering the stairwells isn’t too bad. Reaching the car, we find we are blocked in with someone directly behind us. Back up the two flights of stairs with a photo of the car because the reservation/waitress girl speaks no English. She looks at the photo and immediately s...
